Overview
Region : Kullu – Manali & Parvati Valley.
Located at a height of 3600 meters above the sea level, it offers some jaw-dropping views of snow-laden peaks, green and flowering meadows,with evergreen trees. This trek is the traditional way of reaching the mysterious village of Malana before the road to Malana was built. It is a perfect trek for the beginners and can be classified under "Easy" in terms of difficulty level..
Enjoy great views of the Pir Panjal range, Dhauladhar range,Parvati valley and Malana valley. Malana trek starts from the ancient village of naggar, Legend has that Jamlu devta/jamdagni rishi (the presiding deity at Malana), opened a basket containing the local gods of Kullu at the Chandrakhani Pass ,incidently a strong winds came by and blew the gods to their present abodes.thus let your soul and spirit fly….Malana is one of the oldest standing democracies of the world, with the small village managing it's own affairs even today. This primitive land shadowed by the majestic peaks of Chandrakhani and Deotibba has always been, fiercely and silently guarding it's own culture. The Malanese people believe that they are descendants of Alexander.

BRIEF ITINERARY:
Day 01: Naggar - Rumsu (2150m) - Stelling (1350m) (Trek / 4-5 hrs)
Day 02: Stelling - Base camp Chiklani (3450m) (Trek /4- 5 hrs)
Day 03: Base camp Chiklani - Chanderkhani Pass (3650 m) - Nagruni thach (2800m) (Trek / 5 - 6 hrs)
Day 04: Nagruni Thach - Malana (2600m) (Trek / 4-5hrs)
Day 05: Malana - Jari - Kullu(Trek / 2 - 3 hrs) (Drive / 1 - 2 hrs)
Day 01: Naggar - Rumsu (2150m) - Stelling (1350m) (Trek / 4-5 hrs)
We will drive from Manali to Naggar from where we will start our trek.. Naggar is an ancient town in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, It was once capital of the Kullu kingdom.,latter capital shifted to present day kullu( sultanpur,). Naggar Castle, the official seat of kings for centuries. The Russian painter and explorer Nicholas Roerich settled in Naggar in the early 20th century. The Roerich Estate, his two-floor house, is now a museum and key attraction of the town featuring a collection of his popular paintings.
The trail leads through the village of Rumsu and then winds through wonderful meadows and forests to a pasture above the tree line. Stelling pastures, the camp site for today.
Day 02 : Stelling - Base camp Chiklani (3450m) (Trek /4- 5 hrs)
After breakfast, will head toward chiklani , Initially a steep ascend through forest with typical flora of the himalya with pine, Oak and birch trees and then a gradual ascend on a grassy pastures to reach at Chaklani camp. Overnight stay at Chaklani, base camp.
Day 03: Base camp Chiklani - Chanderkhani Pass (3650 m) - Nagruni thach (2800m) (Trek / 5 - 6 hrs)
Today, will start early, from chiklani, you will keep climbing through the mountains till you reach Chanderkhani Pass, which is situated at an elevation of 3650 m, pass covered with snow till may end. From here, the great views of Bara Bangal range in the west, Pir Panjal to the north and Parvati in the east will make your soul and spirit fly,after spending few lovely moment ,will head toward camping ground of nagruni,overnight stay at this beautiful place .
Day 04: Nagruni Thach - Malana (2600m) (Trek / 4-5hrs)
After breakfast,time to go into the land of people who always claimed to have descended from Alexander the Great’s soldiers, Malanis point to their age-old election system to prove they are among the oldest democracies in the world. The Malana Nullah, which flows through the valley, comes from Deotibba, snow-covered peak that overhangs the village. Overnight stay near malana village.
Day 05: Malana - Jari - Kullu(Trek / 2 - 3 hrs) (Drive / 1 - 2 hrs)
After knowing malana will trek till Jari from here we drive to Manali. Reach Manali , the trek concludes …
Trip ends here ..hope to meet soon……take the joy and energy...Arise! awake !and stop not till the goal is reached….
